Introduction to Linked Data the Resource Description Framework (RDF)

Description: The term “Linked Data” was coined by Tim Berners-Lee in 2006 to describe a series of best practices for publishing and interconnecting data on the internet. Implementing Linked Data utilizes multiple standard web technologies including HTTP, URIs, and RDF.
This session will include an introduction to the key concepts and guidelines of Linked Data and will delve into the intricacies of RDF data modeling. Attendees will come away with a intermediate understanding of general concepts, awareness of publicly accessible authorities and data sets, and knowledge of common descriptive vocabularies.
